Class Description:
This course is designed to prepare the student for ACLS certification and is based on ACLS guidelines using critical thinking skills.
The course is based on reviewing rhythm recognition, recognition of signs & symptoms associated with patients who are noted to be symptomatic.
Algorhythms will be covered to allow the student the ability to work through scenarios utilizing ECG interpretation, use of pharmacology, advanced airway, electricity and BLS.

Class Objectives: The student will be able to demonstrate ECG interpretation, identify critical situations based on their assessment findings, direct a team using electricity, BLS, medications, and airway techniques. Also, demonstrate management of a critical patient in a mega code situation. |
