I’m applying for a job in the healthcare field, which CPR class should I take?

BLS – Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers
This class is designed for medical professionals such as Physicians, Nurses, EMS personnel, dentists, therapists, pharmacist’s respiratory therapists, or other medical professionals working in a medical facility such as hospitals, ambulances or medical clinics.

I just submitted an application at a local college for the Emergency Medical Technician program. The application requires me to have CPR, which course do I register for?

BLS – Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers
The recommendation is American Heart Association BLS course, because this course is designed for medical professionals or individuals applying for jobs in the healthcare field. The science and research for this course is based on American Heart Association data.

I’m not in the healthcare field but need CPR for my job. I don’t know which class to take?

Heartsaver CPR
Heartsaver CPR is designed for those who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements like OSHA. This could include, teachers, plumbers, personal trainers, coaches, construction workers, oil field workers, law enforcement, non-medical students.

How long are the ACLS, PALS, BLS and Heartsaver certifications good for?

2 years – The certification expires the last day of the month the course was taken

Do you hold classes for groups?

Yes, we will work with your group or place of business to set up any course you need. The cost of the course depends on the size and location.
